Maranatha March

maranatha

Behold Your Church, Lord
See how she shines in truth
Filled with Your Spirit
lighting up the earth.

Behold Your Body, Lord
Bearing our wounds in love
One in Christ’s passion
with our Head above.

Behold Your Bride, Lord
See how she shines in love
For You have cleansed her
in Your pure and precious Blood.

Come Lord Jesus for Your Bride
Maranatha! Your Church cries.

Behold Your Temple, Lord
Built up of living stones
Laid on the foundation,
Christ, our Cornerstone.

Behold Your Family, Lord
Members of one household
Brothers and sisters
in the Shepherd’s fold.

Behold Your Chosen, Lord
To us, You promised thrones
For we have followed
the Lamb where ‘er He goes.

Come Lord Jesus for Your Bride
Maranatha! Your Church cries.

Jerusalem

Greg_Olsen_Oh_Jerusalem_525

Jerusalem, city of the King,
City of our Lord
Earth is His footstool and Heaven is His throne,
of God Most High.

Jerusalem,
city of your God.
of Abraham…
Jesus has purchased your shalom in His own Blood.
…Isaac, Jacob and Joseph

Peace it shall come to you, when you call Messiah your own.

Jerusalem…
The Sun of righteousness
… your King will come again.
Christ brings redemption…
He will arise and open paradise.
…and healing in His wings.

Jerusalem, city of shalom,

Peace can only come to you,
When you open your hearts,
open your hearts,
to God’s only Son.

Shout for Joy

Come all nations,
shout your joyful praises,
raise your cries of gladness,
worshiping the Lord.

Come before Him,
singing your hosannas,
waving your palm branches,
Giving thanks to God.

Enter His gates with praise and adoration.
Enter His Courts and bless His holy Name.
The Lord is good, loving us forever,
faithfulness enduring,
through-out every age.

God is our Maker.
He is the Lord.
We are His people.
To Him we belong.

Come before Him,
hearts full of thanksgiving,
bringing songs of praises,
gifts to please the Lord.

(Lyrics adapted from Psalm 100.)

Come Lord Jesus

How long O Lord? How long O Lord?
We are waiting; we are watching,
for Your coming.

I raise my eyes up towards the hills
From whence my help comes
It comes from the Lord.

Rise up you ancient portals!
Lift up your heads, O gates!
Let the King of Glory enter in!

Be Still My Soul

Be still, my soul;
“Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10)
From striving, cease;
Receive His peace.

Be still, my soul.
“Walk humbly, (meekly) with your God” (Micah 6:8)
And seek His face;
receive His grace.

Lift up your heart and listen.
Attend your soul to hear.
The still small Voice is speaking,
in Spirit pure and clear.

Don’t fear, my soul.
Know God is here. “In Him you live,
and move and have
your being.” (Acts 17:28)

Lift up your heart and listen.
Attend your soul to hear.
The still small Voice is speaking,
in Spirit pure and clear.

The Passion

O God, My God, My God,
Why have You forsaken Me?
I hang upon the tree,
dying, sighing, bleeding.

Father, forgive them.
They know not what they do.
I put my hope and trust in You, My God.

Eli (lama) sabachthani,
I cry out in agony.
Elijah doesn’t come.
Where have all My good friends gone?

Father, forgive them.
They know not what they do.
I put my hope and trust in You, My God.

They gloat and glare at Me
I’m surrounded by two thieves
They wag their tongues in scorn
While I wear a crown of thorns

Father, forgive them.
They know not what they do.
I put my hope and trust in You, My God.

My heart, it melts like wax
They look away, they turn their backs
I thirst for all your love;
they give me vinegar and gall.

Father, forgive them.
They know not what they do.
I put my hope and trust in You, My God.

Deep darkness all around
It covers Me like a shroud
O Mother, behold your son;
It is finished, it is done.

Father, forgive them.
They know not what they do.
I put my hope and trust in You, My God.

The Eternal Song

Angels lift up their praise to the Throne of God
Singing through endless days the Eternal Song

Angels with one voice sing to the Lord Most High
Saints bow down and bend their knee to join the heavenly throng.

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Glory be to God.

There stands the Lamb of God, at the Father’s side.
Lord of all heaven and earth, Savior of Mankind.

Near Him the Virgin waits , her heart with love aflame.
To take His graces forth to children of His Name.

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Glory be to God.

Sing too you holy souls, in fires pure as gold.
Your love is growing strong, soon Him you will be hold.

Come now O Spirit of God and fill our hearts with love.
That we who are still on earth may praise as those above.

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Glory be to God,
Praise to God most High, Alleluia!

God’s Lamb of Sacrifice

Droplets of crimson on cold cobblestones.
Hearts just as stiff and as dead as dry bones.
Wood hard as rock on the back of His neck.
Minds tightly closed and remain obstinate.

Jesus is passing by carrying His cross
God’s Lamb of sacrifice sent to the lost.

Jerusalem sleeps in her dark night of sin.
Rejecting Messiah’s true Light to come in.
Soldiers escort Him on His lonely climb.
Good women weep and they follow behind.

Jesus is passing by carrying His cross
God’s Lamb of sacrifice sent to the lost.

Out through the gates of the city He goes
broken and bleeding from all of their blows.
Onwards to Golgotha He will not stop
where He pours out His Blood to the last drop.

Jesus is passing by carrying His cross.
God’s Lamb of sacrifice sent to the lost.
Nails hammered in, arms stretched wide on the cross
Do the onlookers at last see the cost,
of their redemption from damnation and sin?
Not ‘til He died there and rose once again.

Jesus is passing by carrying His cross
God’s Lamb of sacrifice sent to the lost.

The Last Trump

Arise O Lord, let those who hate You flee before Your Face
Arise, O Lord, cast out Your enemies in their disgrace
And send them to their own appointed place.

Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy

The One who sits upon the Great White Throne is Lord of all
All nations will be brought before Him at His mighty call
To hear the judgment of their rise or fall.

Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy

All those who fear the Lord and plead the mercy of the Lamb
Can stand in faith, and trust in the most gracious Son of Man
Who saves us from the abode of the damned.

Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy

O Ancient of Days, O God Most High,
Jesus the Lamb, at Your Right Side
Saves by His Blood His brethren who’ve died
And opens to them the gates of Paradise.
